LOS ANGELES (AP) - Godsmack and several promoters and venues doing business with the group have donated $100,000 to "The Solidarity Foundation," a New York charity helping the widows and orphans of firefighters and police officers lost in the September 11 terrorist attacks. Others participating in the fundraising with Godsmack are the Darien Lakes Amphitheatre, Singer Park (Manchester, New Hampshire), Coors Light at Montage Mountain (Scranton, Pennsylvania), Erie Civic Center (Erie, Pennsylvania), Sports Arena (Toledo, Ohio), Kellogg Arena (Battle Creek, Michigan), and Roberts Stadium (Evansville, Indiana). Godsmack is also contributing the proceeds from its just-completed American tour to victims. The group further encourages fans to contribute to the American Red Cross. The group led fans at its September 15 show at Manchester's Singer Park in a candlelight vigil in honor of the victims of the attacks.
