NEW YORK (DEMO: Digital & Electronic Music Organization/ www.d-e-m-o.com) - Digital & Electronic Music Organization, Inc. (https://www.d-e-m-o.com) presented Prince with the Pioneer Award on December 6 for being the first major music artist to truly focus on the internet and pioneer online music sales.
Prince began success with the internet in 1997 when he independently sold his CD set 'Crystal Ball' online thus establishing the business model that many artists use today. 'Prince has demonstrated the essence of the independent artist movement by releasing his music over the internet and having successful online music sales with it,' DEMO Founder/CEO Andre Gray states, 'He created the template for which all subsequent musicians followed who want to market and sell their music online.'

About DEMO
DEMO: Digital & Electronic Music Organization, Inc. (www.d-e-m-o.com) provides online music sales certifications on a global scale. Andre Gray envisioned the concept of DEMO on 10.09.1999 to create an organization that will award certifications for secured electronic music sales (SEMS) over the internet. The primary purpose of DEMO is to create a global de facto standard for online music sales and to promote all the musical genres of the world as a unifying force.
