Prince began success with the internet in 1997 when he independently sold his CD set 'Crystal Ball' online thus establishing the business model that many artists use today. 'Prince has demonstrated the essence of the independent artist movement by releasing his music over the internet and having successful online music sales with it,' DEMO Founder/CEO Andre Gray states, 'He created the template for which all subsequent musicians followed who want to market and sell their music online.'
