Middlemist Red Release New Single "Evermore"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The foursome have already shared stage with Black Angels and The Wombats as well as performed at festivals such as Sziget, Exit, Eurosonic and the prominent Midem. With over half million Youtube views and an upcoming appearance at Hungarian festival VOLT which attracts over 100 000 fans each year Middlemist Red have been making a name for themselves across Europe.

The Budapest natives comprised of Soma Nóvé (vocals, guitar ), Dávid Papp (guitar), Ábel Ürögdi (drums, backing vocals), Soma Deli (bass, backing vocals) formed in late 2012. Taking influence from late 60's and early 70's rock bands like The Doors and The Beatles as well as bands from the new wave of psychedelic rock like Tame Impala and The Horrors. They released their first EP called "As If You Could Mess This Up" in November 2013 which received great response in Hungary. Their single "Single Switcheroo" has won a major Hungarian song-contest and soon after that, they've been picked by music streaming platform Deezer to participate in their international competition called "Young Guns". Making it to the last fourth from 182 bands, Deezer let the listeners choose the winner with Middlemist Red collecting the most listens and likes to win the competition. The band followed up with their debut LP "Supersonic Overdrive" released November 2014 via Deezer to critical acclaim.

New single 'Evermore' takes an alternative direction from the band's previous work after experimentation with synthesisers, reminiscent in vein to the progression of Tame Impala. Combining their already carefully crafted psychedelic sound with elements of shoegaze and krautrock 'Evermore' is a metaphysical rebirth redolent of The Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and the sounds of the C86 compilation. A psyche-rock vibration circulating with vivid and haunting tones triggered by a synth-laden backdrop, creating a textural transformation of melodies and cadence arriving in thunderclaps whilst containing fluency. "Our new single Evermore was recorded in december 2015 and we mixed, mastered it just before Eurosonic started. We packed the studio's biggest room with our equipment and started playing like we were in our rehearsal place. The goal was to achieve a raw, full sound so the listener will have an idea how we really sound live. We've been experimenting with synthesizers in the last couple months which is why Evermore and our forthcoming songs will sound a bit different than our previous works. Bands like The Horrors, Tame Impala and The Black Angels are our main influences but we're huge fans of The Doors as well." explain Soma Nóvé.

Expect impending updates about Middlemist Red and their exciting new album.
