New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Southern California's LP3 & The Tragedy are premiering the video for the title track off their upcoming debut full-length 'Southland Hum' on Noisey.

Of the Mike Ott-directed clip, frontman and songwriter Louie Perez III says, "Welcome to Southern California, our beautifully broken paradise-dying of thirst. This song is an homage to its natives and transplants as they unconscionably race for fame and minimum wage..."

The band describe their sound as "two gypsy cousins and three friends (who) form a group of breakfast club rejects bringing you Americana in its darkest & youthful form."

The five-piece, which includes Perez (son of Los Lobos guitar player Louie Perez II) bassist Ruby Rosas (daughter of Los Lobos singer Cesar Rosas), along with drummer Eric Fuller, guitarist Carlos Guzman and accordionist/organist Mike Berault, will release 'Southland Hum' on May 3rd via Maplewood Records.

'Southland Hum' is now available for pre-order at MaplewoodRecords.com.

About LP3 & The Tragedy:

LP3 & The Tragedy joined forces a little over a year ago, but has a cowpunk past going back decades.

There are members sprouted from the Pan-American roots of Los Lobos and tweaked by the dark, swampy blues of The Gun Club.

There are members who have refined their chops in punk, ska and fun but inevitably tuned their attention toward the roots of it all.

United and propelled by a sense of family through blood, touring and DIY culture, LPIII and The Tragedy possesses a staggering combined mass of musical tastes, talent and muscle memory, but also has the excitement of a novice, vulnerability of a baby, and an unlimited potential to match.

A new band to breathe life into classic riffs, celebrate heartbreak as if it never happened before, and remind even the most jaded ears why rock 'n' roll will always matter.
