Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, And J. Cole To Headline Lollapalooza For 25th Anniversary Year
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This year's Lollapalooza Festival will be a four-day affair, rather than the usual three days, from July 28 to 31. An extra day was added in honor of the festival's 25th anniversary. Radiohead, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, and J. Cole will headline the event at Grant Park in Chicago.

The lineup includes other contemporary artists, including Future, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Ellie Goulding, Jane's Addiction, Major Lazer, Flume, Haim, M83, the 1975, Chris Stapleton, Halsey, Vince Staples, Bloc Party, and A$AP Ferg. A total of 170 bands and artists are scheduled to perform on eight stages. This year's roster includes more hip-hop and electronic acts than previous festival lineups.

Radiohead recently announced that they will be performing their first concerts in the United States in four years. They will play on July 26 and 27 at Madison Square Garden and at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival in Montreal the same weekend they will perform at Lollapalooza. They will perform their new album at Spain's Primavera Sound in June. The album's title and release date are not yet available.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on a follow-up to their last album, I'm With You, which they released in 2011. The band performed with Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl in 2014 before going on tour in the summer. This year they have been supporting Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

LCD Soundsystem performed together for the first time since they played a farewell show at Madison Square Garden in 2011 when they took the stage at Coachella this month. They will play at Bonnaroo in June and then at New York's new festival, Panorama, in July.

Jane's Addiction, which is led by Lollapalooza cofounder Perry Farrell and was the first band to headline the festival in 1991, will perform with the Red Hot Chili Peppers on July 30.
