Corine Bailey Rae's Album "The Heart Speaks In Whispers" Met With Huge Critical Acclaim
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Heart Speaks In Whispers is the stunning new album from Corinne Bailey Rae. Released last Friday to an incredible reception around the world, it is a remarkable collection of songs that showcases one of Britain's most mercurial and exciting musicians at the peak of her powers.

The Leeds soulstress is currently on a headline tour in the USA and will be returning to the UK this summer to play Glastonbury Festival and heading out on an arena tour with Lionel Richie. She is also a special guest to Stevie Wonder at British Summer Time, Hyde Park as part of his Songs In The Key Of Life extravaganza.

As well as receiving rave reviews across the board, Corinne has appeared on BBC's Later With Jools Holland, performed a live session on BBC Radio 2 and has received further widespread national UK radio play from her new singles 'Been To The Moon, 'Stop Where You Are' and 'Green Aphrodisiac'.

"'The Heart Speaks In Whispers' is the sound of her getting it right again. It stands midway between 'The Sea''s bleakness and her debut's friskiness… with added dollops of sultriness and life-affirmation" - Q Magazine (4/5)

"The sound of someone alive with renewal; a brilliant and very welcome return" - MOJO (4/5)

"An amazing moving listen" - Top40-Charts.com (5/5)

"An emotional soul-soaked record" - Glamour (5/5)

"Corinne's prodigious growth over only three albums has been remarkable. Few others could weave lush Minnie Riperton-esque chamber soul, Ellie Goulding-style power pop and the elemental spirit of Laura Nyro into such a ravishing tapestry. Outstanding" - Echoes (5/5)

"...it's the joy that shines through in the soul wonder's comeback" - Daily Star (5/5)

"The Leeds soulstress sounds rhapsodic, sure of her powers. 'Stop Where You Are' and 'Do You Ever Think Of Me?' equal anything on Adele's '25'" - Evening Standard (4/5)

"...glowing third album. Gorgeous" - Daily Mirror (4/5)

"Ms Bailey Rae is back with a funky, finger-clicking delight" - Daily Mail (4/5)

"This lustrous, strikingly contemporary jazz-soul/R&B set throbs with emotional vitality" - Metro (4/5)

"On 'The Heart Speaks In Whispers', the beauty that flickered through her music has become a steady flame" - Mail On Sunday (4/5)

"Bailey Rae at her funkiest" - The Sun (4/5)

"Luxurious new album [which] dreams in technicolour" - The Arts Desk (4/5)

"One of the most addictive voices in contemporary music" - Drowned In Sound (8/10)

"'The Heart Speak In Whispers' represents the best of Rae's first two albums, connecting the understated charm of her debut with a fascinating listen. Her light permeates this record, leaving a shining example of strength and perseverance" - Pitchfork

"A gorgeous piece of psychedelic soul" - Daily Telegraph

"Her soulful vocals are given space to bloom over a billowing pop backdrop" - The Guardian

"Rich with on-point retro-futuristic sounds" - The Observer
