LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) The nominees for 2016 BET Awards have now been announced and they include Drake, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Stormzy, Skepta and Adele.

Adele, Beyoncé and Rihanna will go head to head for the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist prize, while The Weeknd and Chris Brown are nominated for the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist award. Fetty Wap, Future Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Future, J. Cole and Kanye West are all up for the Best Male Hip Hop Artist title.

Beyoncé's video for 'Formation' has been nominated in the Video of the Year category.

The BET Awards highlight accomplishments made in music, television, film and sports — predominantly by African Americans and other people of color. The ceremony will air live on BET at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 26, at L.A.’s Microsoft Theater.
