New York, NY (Top40 Charts) AUSSIE-BORN SINGAPORE THEREMIN-SYNTHESIST & PRODUCER, SHUEH-LI ONG … will put on her 4th 'Shueh-li Presents in Nashville' on 30th July at 7:30pm, with veteran drummer, John A Martinez, as her guest in a special 'Xenovibes Reunites' evening of music.
Years before she set foot in the
Music City, Shueh-li had the idea to demonstrate the way she conjoined her east meets west styling with her classical/electronic music training, without using conventional labels in explanation.
In 2003, she released 'Shueh-li's Xenovibes' the album, the foundation for her sound and the show band. She invited John A Martinez to be a part of the premier in Singapore in 2004. In 2005, Xenovibes and Shueh-li made their American debut, with John as their U.S. core member.
"I am looking forward to reuniting with John over music-making. Despite our contrasting methods, we share the same philosophical perspective." The band had gone on hiatus in 2009.
A world-renown theremin-synthesist, Shueh-li had already produced 3 albums as Xenovibes before moving to Nashville to write her 4th and 'solo' album. Released in 2012 the solo album is dipped in some of the singer-songwriter culture of the
Music City, along with her usual musical offering. The 2016 concert will feature new material for an upcoming 5th (solo) release.
Shueh-li is affiliated to the Electronic
Music and ProgRock communities, but her musical indulgence covers a broad spectrum of genres, so be prepared to be entertained!

John works with 5-time Grammy winner, Chuck Rainey (bassist), and has been featured in
Modern Drummer and
Music Think Tank.
