Michel Unveils Self-produced Debut EP 'Drive'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Trailing the premiere of an exclusive stream via Vents Magazine, Providence, RI-based modern pop duo Michel have released their debut EP DRIVE to the public.

The group, composed of twin brothers Peter and Nathan Michel, devised the five-track offering as a departure from their prior folk-pop outfit, The Brighter Field. A self-produced endeavor, DRIVE is equal parts energy and emotion featuring rich, powerful vocals supported by strong, pumping rhythms and memorable melodies at every corner. Their special blend of synthesizers, drums, and classic pop lyrics, lends a musically unique experience to the listener while hitting familiar themes that all have witnessed or experienced.

About the writing process, vocalist Peter Michel had this to say: We wanted to offer people a well-rounded group of songs that are cohesive as a unit, while exposing multiple sides of our personality as a band.

The hopeful title track, premiered alongside a music video exclusively via Stage Right Secrets (LINK) earlier this month, deeply contrasts that of songs further along in the album, a move Michel says is intentional.

Each track provides a different energy and vibe than the others, so people can have a song to match whatever mood theyre in.

This project introduces listeners to Michels energetic brand of pop with raw, uncensored lyrics depicting the peaks and valleys of love. With songs like Piece of Heaven celebrating new love, and Still., a gripping ballad about the struggle through current feelings for a former lover, each listener is certain to find themselves somewhere in the mix.

DRIVE is relatable, dynamic, aggressive, passionate and available via Bandcamp and all digital platforms

Biography:
Michel is a modern pop band consisting of twin brothers, Peter Michel (vocals) and Nathan Michel (drums). Based out of Providence, RI, the Michel brothers got their start in their early teens writing and performing with friends all around their home state. In early 2014, following their departure from their longest running band and folk pop project The Brighter Field, the brothers decided to re-brand themselves as a pop duo writing memorable, energetic anthems and emotional ballads with a fresh, unique flare.

Spending nearly two years under a development deal with a small, local label, the brothers spent time writing, recording and learning all they could about the industry and expanded their abilities into production. Due to conflict of interest, in April 2016 Michel broke away from the label to continue on as an independent pop act and immediately began writing and recording their self-produced debut EP DRIVE due to release in July 2016. With Peter as their frontman, and Nathan as the drummer, they are creating energetic, dreamy pop songs accompanied with a raw emotion and heart that everyone can relate with.
