New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Silverado Records, an independent Country music record label, today announced the signing of recording artist Melissa Mickelson of Oregon. Mickelson, originally from Oklahoma and Texas, has deep musical influences and fondly recalls some of her best family memories being nights hunkered around the LP player, spinning Johnny Cash,
Waylon Jennings, and Willie
Nelson vinyl. Mickelson currently resides in the small farming community of Boring, Oregon and has performed her high-energy sets for thousand across the Pacific NW and is known for her smooth, Rock and Blues influenced vocals.

The label will be re-releasing Mickelson's 2015 self-titled EP, featuring a smooth and fun take on the
Barbara Mandrell Classic "I Was Country (When Country Wasn't Cool)," and She is currently writing tracks and planning for a new EP to be released in 2017.
"Melissa's next project is setting up to be a very fun and realistic look at who she is as a person, and we couldn't be more excited about that," said Silverado Records CEO Scott Thomas. "The more you get to know her, the more you want to hang out with her and hear what she's working on musically.
