Haioka - Alaya

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) We�re pleased to be releasing Tokyo producer Haioka�s new single Alaya, the 2nd of two singles pre-released in the wake of his second full length studio album.

Alaya or 'The Eight Consciousnesses' is a classification developed in the tradition of the Yogacara school of Buddhism. They enumerate the five senses, supplemented by the mind, defilements of the mind, and finally the fundamental store-house consciousness, which is the basis of the other seven. It is the root of the human mind, senses & feelings.
Haioka is finding inspiration in mixing ancient Japanese spirit with contemporary thoughts and culture. This mixture is not only a theoretical concept also directly reflected in the actual music. In �Alaya� the artist adds classic Japanese percussion, especially the �wadaiko�. Friend and � wadaiko� player Atsuhiro Cho is featured extensively and will also be playing on Haioka's forthcoming album
