New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On the heels of Rick Astley's first U.S. performances since 1989 last month, the pop icon has announced his official record release shows at the Town Hall in New York City on October 6 and at The Theater at The Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on October 13. The shows will take place around the release of his new album '50,' his first U.S. album release since 1993. 2016 has turned into a remarkable year for Rick, including a #1 debut for '50' in the U.K. in June.
Rick's intimate August shows that took place in NYC and LA were met with raves. "Triumphant...The Troubadour concert make[s] clear, age has given Astley's still-mighty baritone an added richness and depth," says Rolling Stone in an early feature that recently ran. Billboard said he came to LA "in such tip-top shape it was as if he'd never stopped performing."
Tickets for both U.S. shows will go on sale Friday
September 16 at 10AM EST. A pre-sale for Citi Cardmembers will begin tomorrow at 10AM local time, and a Live Nation pre-sale will take place the next day at the same time.

Two bonus tracks have also been added to the U.S. release of '50,' available on the physical version of the album. The additional songs are "A Letter" and "Sailing." All of the songs on '50,' including the bonus tracks, were written and produced by Rick; he performed every instrument on the recordings as well.
'50' first came together in early 2015, as Rick began penning new songs in his home studio. With some encouragement from old friends in the music industry he set forth on crafting this new collection that includes lead single "Keep Singing," a powerful anthem that the BBC says "gives younger artists like
John Newman and
Sam Smith a run for their money."
Mr. Astley also just unveiled a brand new music video, for the song "
