Quincy Jones and produced by Alberto Bof, Xriss' debut single, "Black Dress," is the perfect balance of empowerment and sexiness. Her stunning powerhouse vocals soar over an upbeat tempo that gives the serious song a playful sense. The urban pop track begins with an intense beat layered with Xriss' fierce voice exuding the feeling of liberation, strength and fearlessness. "You think you know how this night will go, but I've got some bad news for you baby," sings Xriss, proving she won't let anyone control her. Inspired by Xriss' involvement with an underground feminist group based in the Middle East, "Black Dress" was crafted to encourage women to take a stance against sexism. The music video, directed by Nathan Flanagan-Frankl, is just as intriguing as the single with its powerful imagery and message. Flanagan-Frankl and Xriss joined forces to create a video concept that touches on the climax of the 2016 U.S. Presidential election.

Born in a small town in Lebanon, Xriss discovered her passion for music while singing karaoke with her family at a young age. She was fascinated with popular American singers and rock stars shown to her by her father who lived abroad in the United States. Before long, Xriss was working at a karaoke bar as a hostess where her shifts turned into performances. Xriss obtained a degree in fine arts and theatre while still pursing music on the side. After joining a few local bands, she gained a residency at Beirut's top live music lounge and toured throughout the
Middle East and North Africa. She was then accepted to be contestant on the debut season of The Voice [Arabia], advancing to the quarterfinals, where she gained thousands of fans and exposure in the region. Xriss then had the opportunity to sing for
