New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Museum of the City of New York will present a "Musical Preview" of Gotham Groove - a free weekend festival to celebrate the launch of its highly anticipated exhibition New York at Its Core. Gotham Groove is the Museum's first-ever continuous, 32-hour New York public festival featuring more than 20 different entertainment acts and events.
Gotham Groove begins on Saturday, November 19 at 10 am and continues nonstop until Sunday, November 20 at 6 pm and will showcase musical performances by Broadway stars, an overnight movie marathon of timeless NYC films, a silent dance disco, family programs, morning yoga, salsa lessons, and much more. On hand for "Musical Preview" will be the acapella group, The New York Belles and a world-renowned Broadway performer. New York at Its Core opens to the public on Friday, November 18.
New York at Its Core is the capstone of a 10-year, $100 million renovation of the entire Museum and is sure to become a major attraction for New Yorkers of all ages, schools, and tourists from around the world. Occupying the entire first floor of the Museum's landmark building on New York's Museum's mile, New York at Its Core presents the full 400-year history of New York from a striving Dutch village to today's "Capital of the World" -- a preeminent global city facing the future in a changing world.
