NEW YORK (AP) - Modern rock act Incubus will celebrate the Oct. 23 release of its Immortal/Epic album "Morning View" with a 90-minute live performance and interview radio special. "Incubus: The Morning View Sessions" will be broadcast on the album's release date at 8:30 p.m. from New York's Sony Studios by Westwood One.

Along with new material from "Morning View," the group is expected to perform hits from its last album, "Make Yourself," in front of a studio audience. "I Wish You Were Here," the lead single from "Morning View," is No. 2 this week on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, and No. 5 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks tally.

Certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America for U.S. shipments of 2 million copies, "Make Yourself" peaked at No. 47 on The Billboard 200 in September 2000. The album spawned the hit single "Drive," which topped the Modern Rock Tracks chart and peaked at No. 8 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The album also produced the hits "Pardon Me" (No. 3 Modern, No. 7 Mainstream) and "Stellar" (No. 2 Modern, No. 17 Mainstream).

Incubus is in the midst of a North American tour that kicked off Sept. 14 in advance of the album's release. The trek sets down tomorrow (Oct. 5) in Pensacola, Fla., and is set to close with a two-night stand Dec. 1-2 in Universal City, Calif.
