LOS ANGELES (AP) - Politically incorrect rock-rap group Bloodhound Gang and politically correct pop stars 'NSync might seem worlds apart, but they share two things in common: One, they ain't nothin' but mammals, and two, they have a desire to work together.

According to a Universal Music Canada representative, Bloodhound Gang frontman Jimmy Pop is working on a track with 'NSync in mind in Orlando - 'NSync's stomping grounds - but they haven't hooked up yet. While nothing is confirmed, both camps seem keen on the idea.

Pop turned up at an 'NSync Popodyssey concert in his native Philadelphia on June 13 at Veterans Stadium, and has expressed interest in having the group appear on the band's follow-up to Hooray for Boobies.
"I talked with him not too long ago," confirmed 'NSync's Joey Fatone while in Toronto over the summer. "He came to see our show. We have to talk to [our manager] Johnny [Wright] about it and everything. We were like, 'Hey, you gotta make sure it's kind of clean, 'cuz we know his writing style. But he's great. He's a great guy. The whole band's great."

Fatone - who hints that 'NSync's clean image is just that, an image ("I'm from New York. Let's leave it at that") - even joined the Bloodhound Gang onstage in April 2000, for its show at Orlando's Hard Rock Live (April 18, 2000).
"I talked to him about me and him maybe getting together and writing something, so you never know,'" said Fatone. Other members of 'NSync were also into the idea. Chris Kirkpatrick said, "I'd gladly be on it. They were at our show in Philly, so I think that would be cool. We love those guys."

Would he worry that his young fans would be corrupted by the Bloodhound Gang's bona fide dirty pop? "So what? Good!" J.C. Chasez dismissed. "Awww, no one's gonna be corrupted. It's all in good fun."
