LOS ANGELES - Earth, Wind & Fire leader Maurice White, who retired from performing concerts with the group in 1994, joined his former bandmates on stage during a performance at Los Angeles's Universal Amphitheatre on Tuesday night (October 2). White, who still writes and produces music with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame act, performed "Keep Your Head To The Sky" as a tribute to Americans everywhere. When White announced his plans to no longer tour with the group he helped found, he kept his reasons private, and only a few years later did he make public that he suffers from Parkinson's disease. Despite the ailment that has forced him to the sidelines, White hinted to LAUNCH last year. "I'm gonna be on the road with the guys occasionally," he said. "You'll see me around and then I'll, you know, I'll be appearing in the videos and cameos, stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, I'll come out every once in a while, surprise the guys."
