DES MOINES, IOWA (www.iowarocknroll.com) - Ten bands, four solo performers, two ballrooms and two radio stations comprise the Class of 2005 to be inducted into the Iowa RockNRoll Music Association Hall of Fame.

The individual performers are Louie Carr from Cedar Rapids, Bo Ramsey of Iowa City, John JR Robinson from Creston and Alice de Buhr of Fanny fame from Mason City (in the "Women Who Rocked" category).

Band inductees for 2005 are: Last Chapter - Sioux City; Jags - LeMars; Mustangs - Sioux City; Senders - Pocahontas; Truth & Janey - Cedar Rapids; SOULution - Mason City; Rhythm's Children - Des Moines; Spartans - Des Moines; Larry Dowd & the Rock-a-Tones - Des Moines/Boone. The out-of-state entertainers honored this year are the "Roarin'Red Dogs" from Kansas.

The Star Ballroom at Dakota City and DanceMor Ballroom at Swisher join the Hall of Fame elite as do KSTT Radio in Davenport and KOMA Radio out of Oklahoma City.

"All members of the Class of 2005 have made significant contributions to the music industry in Iowa and we are excited about honoring them with the Hall of Fame status and recognition they have earned," said IRRMA President John Senn.

The inductees will be honored on Hall of Fame Induction Spectacular Weekend Sept. 3-5 in Arnolds Park on West Lake Okoboji. A full weekend of activities and events will honor the Hall of Fame honorees with nearly all of the festivities open to the public. The Induction Awards Ceremony and Concert are slated for Sunday evening, Sept. 4, 2005 in the Roof Garden Ballroom.
