My Jerusalem Announce West Coast Headline Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Austin, TX based indie-rock band My Jerusalem are bringing their hauntingly soulful live show to the West Coast for their June headline tour. The band continues to tour in support of their 2016 studio album titled A Little Death released by Washington Square Music. "I guess some people do this for fun, but I do it to survive. Those moments on stage in a whirlwind hurricane of sound and emotion - and connecting through it with others - that's the drug. That's when I feel truly alive," says singer Jeff Klein.

Though My Jerusalem has been kicking around in some capacity since 2010, A Little Death is the first album with a solidified lineup. Previously, the band had been more of a collective, with contributions from Klein's revolving door of friends from previous projects, Gutter Twins and The Twilight Singers, and who had also played in bands like Cursive, Okkervil River and the Polyphonic Spree. Now, with a full-time lineup of members including Grant Van Amburgh (drums), Kyle Robarge (bass), and Jon Merz (guitar, keys, horns), My Jerusalem is a true band. Alongside standout tracks like the Orbison inspired "No One Gonna Give You Love" and the hook of "It's Torture!," A Little Death is an album that pays homage to a classic era of rock and roll, one that lacked pretension and focused on honesty in songwriting.

"It is, as Klein's music always has been, a dark and tormented affair, but it's also one infused with black humor as well as an infectious sense of
emotional defiance." - Noisey
"With every record, this Austin band just gets gloomier, tighter and more convincing." - Texas Monthly
"While we don't know exactly how the work impacted the band's leader, we do know My Jerusalem has produced their best work to date. And for that, we're all better off." - Examiner
