New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The two-time GRAMMY-winning keyboardist Cory Henry and his new band The Funk Apostles have announced their 7-city 'Cali-Vibes' Tour 2017 which will kick off on Saturday, September 30th at San Diego, CA's Casbah.

Tickets are on-sale today: https://shorefi.re/CoryHenryTour
The Funk Apostles, comprised of five talented musicians (Adam Agati, Guitar; Taron Lockett, Percussion; Nick Semrad, Keyboard; Sharay Reed, Bass), were hand-picked to bring Cory's musical concepts to life and have played with the likes of Lauryn Hill, Patti LaBelle, Erykah Badu & Aretha Franklin.

'Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles' will release their self-titled new album this Fall. It is a departure from Cory's last solo album 'The Revival' (2016), which was a tribute to his first love, the Hammond organ, and a showcase for his exceptional talents on the instrument. The coming album with The Funk Apostles will emphasize a full band sound - forged by nearly 100 shows over the last year - while blending gospel, R&B, funk, and jazz with Henry's many influences: Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, and James Brown.

Henry's dynamic and improvisational performances has earned him features on NPR's All Things Considered, New York Times Live, and Billboard. Recently, Jimmy Fallon went to see him at the Jazz Standard in NYC, was blown away and invited him to sit-in with The Roots on The Tonight Show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SY0_7u4hWw
