New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Rapper Meek Mill is coming on the read for a limited series of dates. Mill and TIDAL have announced that he will be starring in a series of pop-up concerts to celebrate the rapper's upcoming studio album, Wins and Losses, which drops on July 21st. He'll be hitting New York City on that date, his hometown of Philadelphia on July 24th and will also be appearing in Washington D.C. on July 26th.
Also, Meek Mill releases the cinematic video for the title track and the first chapter of the Wins & Losses movie, directed by Spike Jordan.
The three-minute-long clip, titled "The Rebirth," takes place in a hospital. To open the film, a young man frantically runs around the hallways, where Wale makes a brief cameo, desperate to look inside of a hospital room.
Inside of that hospital room, a woman is giving birth and a man is bleeding from a wound on his head, symbolic images of life and death. Standing in the hallway, Meek raps about his triumphs, failures, and current events.
"Trump ain't feeling us," he raps. "Cops still killing us / Ni**as taking shots can't stop me, they ain't real enough / Cut her off, act like she dead and it's killing her."
Due July 21, Meek's third studio album Wins & Losses is set to feature Rick Ross, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Young Thug, Quavo, and Teyana Taylor, among others. Watch "Chapter One" of the Wins & Losses movie below:
