Pictures comedy "Are We There Yet?" arrived in first place at the weekend North
America box office, according to estimates released Sunday. The comedy, starring Ice Cube, was expected to gross US$18.5 million in its debut, according to box office tracker Exhibitor Relations.
Last week's leader, "Coach Carter," slipped to second place, with an estimated take of US$11 million. The star-studded comedy "Meet the Fockers" claimed the third place with earnings of about US$10.2 million. The movie has so far grossed US$247 million after five weeks of release. Rounding up the Top five were "In Good Company," which took in US$8.5 million, and "Racing Stripes," which earned US$7 million.
