NEW YORK (Sony BMG
Music Entertainment) - Tim Prescott, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT, today unveiled the structure of the company's Global Marketing Group, and announced a series of key appointments.
The Global Marketing Group is a specialized marketing unit that will support SONY BMG's labels, repertoire centers and operating companies, and their respective international departments, around the world. The Global Marketing Group's mission is to work within the company to create and execute worldwide campaigns for SONY BMG's major releases, and developing artists, to further build global music stars. Based in New York, the Global Marketing Group will also have marketing teams located in Europe, Latin America, the Asia Pacific region and Japan.

Key appointments in the Global Marketing Group are as follows:
Europe
Tim Delaney has been named Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Europe. Mr. Delaney, who will be based in London, will report directly to Mr. Prescott. In his new role he will oversee all SONY BMG Global Marketing activities in Europe, and serve as a key liaison point between SONY BMG U.K. and Global Marketing. Most recently, Mr. Delaney served as Senior Vice President, International at the RCA Music Group, where he oversaw international activities at Arista, J Records and RCA. Prior to that he was the founding head of International for J Records. He has also served as General Manager of Arista Records in the UK, and prior to that he worked briefly as Vice President, Commercial at BMG U.K. Before joining BMG U.K. Mr. Delaney held the role of Vice President, International, at PolyGram Continental Europe, having previously held a number of positions at PolyGram Australia, including Managing Director, Mercury Records.
New York
Daniel Levy has been named Vice President, Global Marketing. He will be based in New York. In his new role, Mr. Levy will be responsible for developing global marketing initiatives together with the Sony Music Label Group U.S., as well as for overseeing marketing initiatives for Wind-Up artists. Most recently, Mr. Levy served as Vice President, International Marketing, Sony Music International, since 1999. During his tenure as Vice President he oversaw all international marketing activities for a wide range of Sony Music artists, as well as for artists in the Wind-Up Records catalogue. He joined Sony Music/Epic France in 1993 as a Product Manager and head of International Marketing. In 1996, he was promoted and transferred to Sony Music Europe in London, where he served as European Marketing Director for Epic.
Ryan Wright has been appointed Vice President, Global Marketing. Mr. Wright will be based in New York. In his new role he will be responsible for developing global marketing initiatives together with BMG Label Group U.S. Previously, he served as Vice President, Global Marketing, BMG, since 2003. In this role he oversaw global marketing for front line artists from RCA, J Records, Zomba Records, and had overall responsibility for BMG's Latin America and Asia-Pacific regional Global Marketing teams. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Wright was Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, for Zomba Records. Prior to joining BMG he was Marketing Director for Samsung Electronics.
There will be additional appointments to the New York-based team in the near future. In addition, the following executives will all report into the company's Global Marketing Headquarters in New York:
Latin Region
Luana Pagani has been named Senior Vice President, Global Marketing, Latin. Based in Miami, Ms.Pagani will have responsibility for coordinating all global marketing and promotions activities across the Latin American region, and will play a central role in overseeing campaigns to introduce key local artists to the global audience. Most recently, Ms. Pagani served as Senior Vice President, Marketing, Latin Region, for Sony Music International, since 2001. She joined the company in 1987 in Argentina in the Promotions department, and subsequently held positions of increasing responsibility including Manager, International Marketing, and Director, Strategic Marketing. In 1993 she was named Director, International Marketing for the Latin American region, and in 1995 she was appointed Vice President, Spanish Language Product.
Asia/Pacific
Cate Smith has been named Vice President, Global Marketing, Asia/Pacific. Based in Sydney, Ms. Smith will be responsible for global marketing activities across the entire region, excluding Japan. Most recently Ms. Smith served as Marketing Director, BMG Asia/Pacific, since 2003. Prior to that she was Creative and International Director, BMG Australia. From 2001 to 2003 she was Marketing Director, BMG Australia. From 1997 to 2000 she served as Label Manager, and subsequently as Marketing Manager, International Repertoire. She joined BMG in 1994 in the sales department, holding positions of increasing responsibility culminating in State Manager for NSW for BMG Australia.
Japan
Daniel DiCicco has been named Vice President, Global Marketing, Japan. Mr. DiCicco, who will be based in Tokyo, will have responsibility for coordinating all global marketing and promotions activity in Japan. Mr. DiCicco most recently served as Vice President International Marketing, Sony Music International, based in Japan, since 2000. From 1997 until 2000, he was Director International Marketing, during which time he worked with Epic Records Group and 550 Music in New York, and later with Sony Music's Asian Regional Office and the Australian company. Mr. DiCicco joined Sony Music in 1993, working in a variety of capacities in production and systems management before being named Director, Studio Operations, in 1996.
Marketing Strategy and Analysis
Guy Kinnell has been named Senior Director, Global Marketing. Mr. Kinnell will be responsible for all Marketing Reporting and Analysis activities for the company and report directly to Mr. Prescott. In addition, he will act as a liaison between the Global Marketing Group and the Global Digital Business Group to ensure the appropriate integration of priority marketing plans with SONY BMG's digital efforts. Most recently he served as Senior Director of Global Marketing Strategy & Performance for BMG since 2002. Mr. Kinnell joined Global Marketing from BMG Europe where he worked as a member of the Continental European team. Prior to the music industry, Mr. Kinnell ran his own marketing services company in the UK and was a marketing consultant involved in launching new products/services.
Marketing Services
Waco Moore has been named Director, Global Marketing Services. Mr. Moore will oversee the activities of the Global Marketing Services Group, which will provide key marketing tools and services to the global team, and manage and coordinate the marketing related interactions between repertoire owners, affiliates and the supply chain group. Mr. Moore joined Sony Music International's marketing department in 2003.
