LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) Multi-Platinum rapper Chingy will kick off his U.S. tour February 2nd in Myrtle Beach, SC in support of his latest album, PowerBallin,' which debuted at No 10 on the Billboard 200 in December 2004 and has already been certified Gold. Although primarily a headlining tour, Chingy will open for Snoop Dogg in Orlando, FL on February 3 and for DJ Quik on some West Coast dates.

"Leave Wit' Me," the second single from PowerBallin,' features R&B icon R. Kelly and has just gone to radio for adds. It's the follow-up to "Balla Baby," the album's first single, which was a multi-format hit and received play on both MTV and BET. Meanwhile, radio has jumped on another track from the album - "Don't Worry," Chingy's romantic duet with Janet Jackson.

Chingy launched the album with a whirlwind series of national television appearances, which began in advance of the street date and included performances on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," "Showtime at the Apollo," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "Last Call with Carson Daly." He also did an exclusive interview and live performance for "Sessions@AOL," which is now available on CD at iTunes.

Chingy also contributed "Professional," an exclusive new track featuring his longtime friends G.I.B., to the soundtrack of the Paramount Pictures drama Coach Carter. The soundtrack was released January 11th and the film, which opened January 14th, was #1 at the box office this past weekend.

With Jackpot, Chingy was the best-selling debut rap artist of 2003. Jackpot entered the Billboard Top 200 at #2 and yielded three smash singles -- "Right Thurr," "Holidae In" and "One Call Away" - each of which surpassed 100 million in audience at radio. It is currently certified Triple Platinum.
