NEW YORK (Club Rio Productions) Celebrating their 21st year at the Hollywood Palladium, the annual Carnaval eventwill be both entertaining and giving this year.

Initially planned as their yearly celebration of Carnaval in conjunction with the event in Brazil, organizers at Club Rio Productions saw an opportunity for their event and it's thousands of guests to help with the Asian disaster relief.

"Carnaval is known across the world as the biggest party on the planet and as a celebration of life, art, culture and tradition" said Ariel del Mundo the event's producer, "this is an opportunity for us to help with relief efforts at an event that is already know for its celebration of life".

Club Rio Productions joined forces with Save the Children (www.savethechildren.org) a leading nonprofit humanitarian relief and development organization working in more than 40 countries throughout the developing world and the United States. Save the Children is mobilizing its response to children and families who, having survived one of the world's most powerful earthquakes are now in desperate need of food, clean water, medical care and temporary shelter.

"We have mobilized response teams both within South Asia and around the world to meet the need of children affected by this terrible tragedy," said Rudolph von Bernuth, Vice President of the organization's humanitarian response division. Several of Save the Children's professionals in rapid responses and protection program for children were dispatched to Indonesia almost immediately following the tragedy.

The event which takes place on Saturday February 5, 2005 at 9pm already has a star-studded international lineup of entertainers and performers; *** DANDARA AND TAMBORES DO BRASIL, BADAUE with MEMBERS OF OLODUM, performers from CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, SAMBA DANCERS "THE GIRLS FROM CLUB RIO" AND Miss Brazil 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
