Milano called on women to share their personal experiences with sexual harassment or sexual assault, the hashtag #MeToo has been tweeted nearly a half a million times, a Twitter spokeswoman confirmed Monday. The scope of the problem is beyond comprehension: one in three women have been sexually harassed at work, and two-thirds have experienced street harassment. One in six has been raped or experienced an attempted rape.
Directed by Ben Smallbone, produced by Luke Smallbone, and starring Joel Smallbone as James, this is a passion project that the family firmly believes in. Two years ago, the band was performing on stages around the world, and sharing their vision of healthy relationships. "We've been standing on stage telling women that they deserve to be treated with love and respect," Joel Smallbone shared. "And telling men that there's a chivalrous way to show love. That lead us to Priceless."
Approaching their brother Ben with a desire to tell a story with an overarching theme of the value of human life and taking a stand regardless of the costs, Joel and Luke reminded him of a documentary he'd edited about an ex-pimp who ended up rescuing women from human trafficking. As production on the story concluded, they ultimately tabbed Ben to direct and Joel to act as the lead.
