New York, NY (Top40 Charts) When a band heads out on a tour, lasting relationships can be made. This past summer was the first ever Tragic Hero Records Tour which featured newcomers Northern
Ghost and veterans, SET TO STUN. The bands formed a close friendship and are excited to announce they will be heading out on tour together again this November.
Additionally, SET TO STUN is gearing up for their first ever European tour early next year with
Escape The Fate and wanted to end the year with one more U.S run. Vocalist
Damien Wong shared, "We're very excited and eager to get back on the road and connect with our fans. To do so with our label mates/close friends in Northern
Ghost was simply bound to happen after getting to know them on the THR Tour. We are absolutely thrilled to share the stage with such passionate and articulate individuals once again."
Northern
Ghost saw great success on the Tragic Tour, which was their first time hitting the road. They are excited to be sharing the stage again with their label mates as Vocalist Tony McVaney shared, "Our first tour as a band was with SET TO STUN. They became some of our best friends in the scene and introduced us to their fans, who have been phenomenal at making us feel at home whatever city we go to. To say we're stoked to be back out with them would be an understatement. It's the perfect way to end 2017."
Tickets go on sale Friday, October 20th at 10am. SET TO STUN's latest record, "SET TO STUN and the Desperado Undead" and Northern Ghost's debut album, "Happy : Sad : Depressed : Suicidal" are available on all major digital platforms with physical copies at Merchbucket.
About SET TO STUN:
Words alone cannot describe the band SET TO STUN. Each person who listens to the Southern California trio will have their own extreme experience and be left gasping for air. One minute you'll be thrashing around within the violence of it, and the next minute you'll be serenaded into a trance-like state and inspired to take on the world. Listening to a SET TO STUN album is more of a journey than just a bunch of songs thrown together on the same CD. The music has a dangerous quality and you'll get lost in the chaos of what's happening, while you try to find your way back to safety.
The multi-layered theatrical sound created by
Damien Wong (vocals/guitar), Taylor Wong (bass/vocals), and Marcus Molina (drums) hinges on the intense lyrics that are relate-able to many different situations. Whether you're going through a break-up, dealing with a drug addiction, being shipped off to war, or just trying to pursue your dreams, there is a little something here for everyone. More inspired by science-fiction and horror movies than the post-hardcore bands that they have been compared to, they describe themselves as the "Quentin Taratino of rock-n-roll."
SET TO STUN has appeared on major festivals like South By So What?! and Vans Warped Tour. After performing with the likes of
Motionless In White and Asking Alexandria, they gained thousands of views on their YouTube videos and caught the attention of Tragic Hero Records who signed them in 2014. "We are really excited to have the band on our roster," says Tragic Hero CEO Tommy LaCombe. "They are truly a cinematic experience without limitations." The band went into the studio with Joey Sturgis to work on their upcoming album, "The Desperado Undead" that was released on November 27th. The record hit #110 on the Billboard New Artist Chart.
About Northern Ghost:
Cleveland, Ohio's Northern
Ghost goes out of their way to create emotional, honest metalcore music and takes it's influences from bands like
Underoath and Architects. The end result is showcased on their debut album, "Happy : Sad : Depressed : Suicidal," which will be released by Tragic Hero Records on July 7th.
Northern
Ghost was formed by Vocalist Tony McVaney and Guitarist Alan Bryan who both find inspiration from artists of many different genres and always pushed each other's creativity. The addition of Guitarist Nolan O'Renic, Bassist Kenny Pohorence and Drummer Mike Mazzoli, completes the line up of passionate, hard working artists.
In 2017, Northern
Ghost signed with Tragic Hero Records. The partnership was an easy decision once they met label owner Tommy LaCombe. McVaney explained, "Right away he made us feel like a priority and made it very clear he believed in what we're doing."
Their debut album "Happy : Sad : Depressed : Suicidal" was released on July 7th and is reminiscent of older
Bring Me The Horizon and A Skylit Drive. McVaney has always used music as a coping mechanism and hopes the record will inspire fans when dealing with their own struggles.
"If our music can do for others what music has done for me, then I know we're doing something right." - Tony McVaney.
