NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA) - Multi-platinum recording star Clay Walker will make his eighth consecutive trip to the AT & T Pebble Beach National Pro Am, the most internationally recognized stop on the PGA tour, February 10-13. Walker will join the world's top golf professionals as well as celebrities including Kevin Costner, Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, Samuel L. Jackson, Donald Trump and Patriot's head coach Bill Belichick. The annual event has generated more than $46 million for nonprofit organizations related to youth education, health, human services, arts and community and environmental programs. Walker and other celebrity amateurs will compete in the 3M Celebrity Challenge February 9 with the prize money going to the winner's designated charity. The by-invitation-only AT & T Pebble Beach Pro Am began as the Bing Crosby Clam Bake, Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, in 1937. It moved to Pebble Beach in 1947 and since then has included winners Jack Nicklaus, Payne Stewart, Tom Watson and Tiger Woods. Vijay Singh took home the 2004 $954 thousand prize. An accomplished golfer, Walker has competed on some of the world's finest courses, most recently the Dunhill Classic in Scotland. From Pebble Beach it's on to San Antonio to headline the San Antonio Rodeo.
