LOS ANGELES (Reprise Records) - Hot Hot Heat, the acclaimed quartet from Victoria, British Columbia, will perform a select series of U.S. dates to kick off the release of Elevator, their new album on Sire/Reprise Records. Additional tour dates will be announced as available.

The eagerly awaited follow-up their 2003 major label debut Make Up The Breakdown, Elevator was recorded last year in Vancouver and Los Angeles following a barnstorming world tour by the quartet.
Dave Sardy, known for his work with The Walkmen, Jet and the Red Hot Chili Peppers and features fourteen new Hot Hot Heat originals including "Running Out Of Time," "Middle Of Nowhere," "Shame On You" and the title track, produces it.

"After all that touring it was clear that we couldn't approach writing and recording in the way we used to," remarks founding member Steve Bays. "We'd grown too much. But at the same time the essence of the band was intact: catchy, fun, danceable, Friday night music with some dark undertones to keep it interesting."

Aside from vocalist and keyboardist Bays, Hot Hot Heat is comprised of Paul Hawley (drums), Dustin Hawthorne (bass) and new guitarist Luke Paquin. After forming in the late 90's, the group quickly released a string of independently produced singles, EP's and albums, including Scenes One Through Thirteen and began playing extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest. In the spring of 2002, they recorded Make Up The Breakdown, which landed them a major label deal with Sire/Reprise Records.
An international tour followed during which Hot Hot Heat earned a worldwide fan base.
