World-Renowned Authors, Musicians, Artists, And Chefs Gather On March 1, 2018
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / New Levant Initiative) The New Levant Initiative will host a conference in the Family Theater at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from 8am-4:30pm on March 1, 2018.

The conference will reflect on the Levantine identity, as captured throughout history, art, architecture, music and cuisine, as well as the history of cosmopolitanism and commerce that enabled this vibrant culture to thrive. Panelists who share Levantine heritage will examine its influence on their careers and lives as well as give testimony to the uniqueness of the Levantine identity.

The New Levant Initiative is honored to present distinguished trumpeter and composer Ibrahim Maalouf in the world premiere of his impassioned composition, Levantine Symphony N°1 on March 1, 2018 at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Eisenhower Theater. This single performance is sold out but we have limited availability for the press.

Performing with Maalouf this evening is the Free Spirit Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Rossi, the National Children's Chorus, and the pianist Ji.
All conference panelists and the concert performers will be available for interviews.
