Angélique Kidjo Releases "One Of The Year's Most Daring Records" (Pitchfork)
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Angélique Kidjo's radical remake of Talking Heads' 'Remain In Light' has been met with immediate raves and is out now. She performed "Once In A Lifetime" on Jimmy Kimmel Live, discussed the album with David Byrne on the New Yorker Radio Hour, has been featured on NPR Morning Edition, NPR Music First Listen, Pitchfork, LA Times, Studio 360 and much more. Visual artist Kerry James Marshall collaborated on the album artwork and Angélique will continue to perform the album front to back in 2018 after shows in Los Angeles and at London's Royal Festival Hall this past Friday.

Angélique partnered with super producer and 2015 Grammy Producer of the Year Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Rolling Stones, Beyonce) for her version of 'Remain in Light,' which brings the landmark 1980 album by Talking Heads full circle, back to the sounds of West Africa that inspired the original. It features Ezra Koenig, Blood Orange, Tony Allen, Antibalas Horns, Angélique's longtime guitarist Dominic James, and Magatte Sow (percussionist for the 'Black Panther' film score).

Angélique Kidjo is a three-time Grammy winner whom NPR has called "Africa's greatest living diva." She travels the world advocating on behalf of children in her capacity as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador while her charitable foundation, Batonga, is dedicated to supporting the education of young girls in Africa.
