Chill-House Artist Krono Remixes Drugzz's Daring, Debut Single "Someone Other Than Me"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Chill-house duo KRONO has remixed the future-bass artist DRUGZZ's daring, debut single "Someone Other Than Me" set for release on 10th August via Super Serious. French duo KRONO have made some extraordinary waves since their inception, with an impressive playcount of nearly 170 million via YouTube alone, it's no surprise that respected DJs such as Junior Sanchez and Miguel Campbell took stirring notice of the pair - KRONO then got to work on various remixes and collaborations by respected like-minded artists such as Aaron Smith, Luvli, LinYing and VanJess gaining the duo a considerable amount of exposure with ambitious features on widely enjoyed Youtube channels such as The Sound You Need and La Belle Musique, and publications such as Dancing Astronaut and Red Bull Music. Their remix of Aaron Smith's 'Dancin' got so much hype, it was picked up by Universal/ Moody Records on VA - Dance Anthems (The Deep Summer Chill Edition 2013) driving the duo further down their own expressive rabbit hole.

Up-and-coming future-bass artist DRUGZZ' previous singles "Someday", "Someone Other Than Me" and "I Didn't Mean To Do It" received support from the likes of Clash Mag, Paste Mag, EDM Boutique, FGUK and prominent youtube channels such as All Things Trap and Zeno-Chan (The latter gaining him nearly 60,000 streams). Having previously worked with Spinnin Deep's De Hofnar and Ziggy Alberts (TWO LANES). This Nashville-based artist is sure to turn heads, move feet and drop jaws with his own signature mash-up of beloved emotions, textures and genres.

Born from the slums of upscale suburbia Tennessee, Sam Alan began his childhood without much of a chance. Straight from a loving family of 6, he always felt insufficient and almost looked over. Sam became depressed early on in life because his three brothers always kicked his ass on Xbox. Ultimately getting the best of himself, Sam never learned that life was meant to be enjoyed - thus leading him to live vicariously through the alter-ego known as DRUGZZ, and he encompasses on this notion by commenting: "I spent the last 6 years of my life starting and running a fresh salsa company called Uncle Kragers. I was working 70 hours in a kitchen chopping fucking cilantro while all my friends were outside going on vacations and playing sold out shows. Our company did very well, but I ended up hating my life. Inspiration comes in many ways - sometimes through cilantro stained hands."

A collector of vintage drum gear, DRUGZZ is inspired by rhythm, and sitting in front of a drum-set is crucial for his writing process. He used an old Rogers drum-set to make samples for the record, adding in the swirling synth sounds of the innovative Moog Sub Phatty. Citing influences such as Blink-182, The Chemical Brothers, Moby or ODESZA, DRUGZZ' sound has been likened to as a crossover between Louis The Child and Simple Plan.

KRONO's vivacious, and bubbling remix of DRUGZZ's "Someone Other Than Me" sets the tone with jolting percussive beats and tambourine shakes, arcade-esque synthesizers and of course Sam's bitter, or biting vocal delivery encompassing on the track's unique and confrontational nature. However, French producer KRONO uses this angst to his advantage, and flips it dance-floor ready for immersive light shows, sweaty nightclubs and elevated night-chasers, comparative to values constructed by like-minded producer such as Sam Feldt, Tom Odell or Kygo.
"Someone Other Than Me" was produced by Cole Johnson and mastered by Nic Signer.
