Cassie Scerbo To Release New Music For 'Sharknado 6' Soundtrack
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) 'Sharknado 6: It's About Time' will wrap-up the surprise hit 'Sharknado' franchise this summer on Syfy. Cassie Scerbo, who has played "Nova" for 4 out of the 6 films in the series - taking the character from bartender to weapon toting shark-slayer, will celebrate this last installment with the inclusion of her brand-new song, "Disaster," which will be featured in the film and as part of its official soundtrack.
"Disaster" hits the perfect tone for the film with its funky, rock-driven beat. The track was written by Josh Mizzelle and produced by Loudbaby.

Recently, Cassie has been spending a lot of time recording new music to share with her fans. Working with collaborators such as; Chromosomes Music, Just Loud, and Drew Scott, she has fully immersed herself into getting back to creating music.
"To be able to dive back into my music now as I've grown and evolved into a woman who knows her sound and is confident in what she wants to say, has been unbelievably freeing," says Cassie. She continues, "I've missed music beyond words and I feel like I can breathe again. To be able to marry both of my worlds; acting and singing, for this project felt like the perfect way to introduce my music to the world. I have to thank LoudBaby for helping to re-ignite my passion and drive musically with this song. Stay tuned for more to come!"

"Disaster" will be available through all streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes) on Sunday, August 19th.
