NEW YORK (www.thefairfaxjubilaires.org) - The Fairfax Jubil-Aires, a barbershop harmony chorus, will present its 49th Annual Show, "So Happy" on Saturday, March 19th at the Ernst Theater on the NOVA Annandale Campus. NOVA is located on Little River Turnpike (Route 236), west of the Washington Beltway. The event will offer two performances at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m., respectively.

The show will also feature performances from the International Champions Bluegrass Student Union and the Ricochet Comedy Quartet. The Bluegrass Student Union is a barbershop quartet based in Louisville, Kentucky. The foursome sings a cappella adaptations of popular American songs from the 1930's and 1940's. Millions have been entertained by this group over the last 20 years including President Reagan during his presidency. The Ricochet Comedy Quartet treats music lovers to an amusing performance with their signature West Virginia brand of humor.

"Our shows are great fun for the whole family," said Mike Stoll, Vice President of Marketing for the Fairfax Jubil-Aires. "We inject humor, fun and showmanship into each performance. That passion and enthusiasm really resonates with audiences."

Tickets can be purchased at the group's website, https://www.thefairfaxjubilaires.org/. However, tickets will not be mailed. Bring the emailed order confirmation to the event, so tickets can be picked up at the door prior to the show. Call at or e-mail:
Each year, in addition to their annual show, the Jubil-Aires chorus and quartets perform throughout the area. Performance venues include the White House Ellipse, Fairfax City parade and fireworks displays, county and city parks, cable TV, ballparks, senior citizen residences, conventions, banquets, and other social events.

The group meets at 7:30 PM each Tuesday at Old Town Hall in (Old Town) Fairfax City on the corner of University Drive and Main Street. Director Tom Meier is a dynamic and innovative barbershopper and leader. Visitors are encouraged and always welcomed, whether they come to sing or just to enjoy listening to a musical style that has pleased people for over one hundred years.
