NASHVILLE, TN. (Swayer Brown Official Website) - Mark Miller, frenetic frontman and creative catalyst for Sawyer Brown, reacts to the passing of his friend Chris LeDoux. Both high impact performers, the pair of full-tilt artists spent over a year-and-a-half touring together... so, LeDoux's passing has hit Miller hard. Reached somewhere in South Dakota, on a drive-through to Yosemite National Park where the band will headline a concert over the next two days, an obviously moved Miller had this to say: "Chris was a real man, and the real definition of a cowboy... a tough guy, but very fun-loving. One time, we were out on tour and he skinned a muskrat, stretched it... did all the stuff. He even cooked it. But he gave us the pelt. He'd spent a lot of time on it,,, he'd even made the frame to stretch it out, dry it out. He was that kind of authentic. But more than that, he was a very, VERY good person. He was very honest, very caring. He was a good family man, very respectful to his wife Peg - jusr the way you'd expect a gentlemen to be. It was obvious she was the love of his life... His kids were involved His son Ned played drums in his band. His son Clay sold his merchandise. So he always was surrounded by his family. That was important to him, very important - he was certainly the best showman, the best cowboy rocker on the planet, a complete original - but ultimately it was his family that mattered."
