New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Seattle's The Dip, the KEXP-approved soul septet, will release their new album 'The Dip Delivers' on February 8th, 2019. The 10-song collection blends warm, vintage R&B sounds with classic pop storytelling for an album both raw and polished.

Known throughout the Pacific Northwest for their lively shows, the electrifying seven-piece ensemble led by frontman and vocalist Tom Eddy (Beat Connection) is grounded by a driving rhythm section and the impeccably crisp lines of the "Honeynut Horns". 'The Dip Delivers' harnesses the fervor and energy of the live show, many of these songs already audience favorites. Album opener "Sure Don't Miss You" is a particular favorite, with crowds echoing the song's defiant chorus that "someday I might miss you / but I sure don't miss you right now." There is also the profession of loyalty in tough times on "Best Believe" and the melancholy of "Slow Sipper," which Glide says "rekindles the spirit of Charles Bradley along with the musical chops of Booker T & The M.G.'s." Delivered with a deftly comforting touch, "Atlas" exudes empathy for someone overburdened by life's hard realities.

The Dip collaborated with a litany of local Seattle musicians to highlight the variety of the new material. Additional percussion, background singers, and a string quartet add color to their sound, while fellow Seattle soul compatriots like organist Delvon Lamarr (Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio) and guitarist Jimmy James (The True Loves, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio) elevate the hard-hitting track "Advertising," making The Dip "stand out as one of the most exciting and joyous acts to emerge in recent years" (KEXP). Having performed at The High Sierra Festival, Sasquatch! Music Festival, and selling out their first Northeast run of shows in New York and Philadelphia, The Dip "brings modern flair to a retro sound... and a hint of homey grit" (The Storm).

The Dip: Tom Eddy (vocals/guitar), Jacob Lundgren (guitar), Mark Hunter (bass), Jarred Katz (drums), Evan Smith (baritone saxophone), Levi Gillis (tenor sax), and Brennan Carter (trumpet).

The band kicks off their 26-date tour on February 16th with a hometown show. Tickets will go on sale Friday, November 16th, at 10 am local time. Find tickets here: https://www.thedipmusic.com/shows/
