New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Check out Chicago-based hip-hop artist Ness Heads and her new empowering music video for her recent single "Pretty."

"Pretty" follows up her recent singles, ""On My Own", followed by "Flip Em," a carefree song that further showcases her unique sound.

Ness has performed at a number of notable venues, including Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, Chicago Emporium and Sully's House, growing her following, honing her sound, and spreading her uplifting messages.

Ness states, '"Pretty" is a hard-hitting, feel good song about regaining your confidence and telling your haters to get lost." A talented songwriter, Ness wrote the track after learning that an acquaintance was saying unkind things about her. In the video, Ness struts her stuff and sends a warning shot, sporting her signature edgy, punk look with bold-patterned streetwear and her checkered vans. Split screens show different sides of Ness, from more serious black and white shots, to vibrant shots of Ness in front of a hot pink backdrop. "Pretty" was directed by Exhbit 91 (Rendell Smith and Alex Donewald).

MORE ABOUT NESS HEADS:

Born Vanessa Ortiz, Ness Heads' take on contemporary hip-hip immediately grabs an audience's attention. A talented songwriter, she uses catchy melodies and powerful lyrics to tell stories and convey her emotions. She first broke into Chicago's hip-hop scene in late 2017 when she started working with producer and family friend Drew Damen at Music Garage. Ness decided to quit her sales job and commit to music full time by the end of 2017.

Ness draws influence from all genres of music from several different decades. Some of her primary influences are Nirvana, Syd (of the Internet), Kaytranada, and Panic! At the Disco. She also keeps a close eye and ear on the best and biggest of today's hip-hop, including Drake and Kanye.
