Grassroots Cannabis To Sponsor Weed The People Film Screening In Chicago
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grassroots Cannabis, an Illinois-based medical cannabis company with licensed business operations in six states and growing, announced today that the company will sponsor a screening of Weed the People at 7:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Music Box Theatre located at 3733 N Southport Ave. in Chicago, Illinois.

Weed the People is an award-winning educational documentary that teaches mainstream audiences about medical cannabis as a human rights issue. The film follows the journey of families as they take their children's lives into their own hands and obtain cannabis oil through underground sources. Unique to this screening of Weed the People, Grassroots Cannabis will unveil its new company video that highlights the uses of cannabis in everyday life.

Prior to the film screening at Music Box Theatre at 7:00 p.m., Grassroots Cannabis will host a Meet and Greet event from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Big Star located at 3733 N Southport Ave., in Chicago. Attending the Meet and Greet will be members of the Grassroots Cannabis executive team, the film's director Abby Epstein, and the film's executive producer Ricki Lake. Shuttle service from Big Star to Music Box Theatre will be provided.
