With groups like Aphelion, World Is, and Earth Conference, Tom
Alexander cultivated a global fusion sound over a twenty year period. Then in 2001, he released a solo piano CD called 'What's Ahead?' which fused jazz harmonies with memorable melodic passages and striking solos. AMG praised the recording and NPR broadcast a 20 minute feature heard across the country featuring selections from the recording and an interview with the artist.
Since that time, Tom has been busy writing new compositions for a series of recordings he plans on making with a core group of musicians whom he refers to as his musical family. The first being his debut release for the Gatsby
Music label. It's a recording you really need to hear…a musical trip around the world where no passport is needed.
