Britain's Premiere Guitarists, Martin Taylor & Laurence Juber To Perform At The WYO
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The WYO rings in the New Year with two exceptional guitarists, Martin Taylor, hailed as THE acoustic guitarist of his generation by Acoustic Guitar Magazine and Laurence Juber, lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's Wings, on Tuesday, January 8 at 7:30pm. Each virtuosic guitarist brings his own style to the WYO stage, guaranteed to dazzle.

Martin Taylor is a multi-award-winning guitarist who excites audiences by combining virtuosity, emotion, humor, and a strong stage presence. His inimitable style has seen him recognized as the world's foremost exponent of solo fingerstyle guitar playing. Collaborations with artists including Jeff Beck, Tommy Emmanuel, Bill Wyman, Chet Atkins, David Grisman, Dianne Schuur and Gary Burton have seen Taylor garner two honorary doctorates, a BBC lifetime achievement award, Top 10 albums in both the USA and Europe, a record 14 British Jazz Awards. In 2002 he was appointed MBE 'For Services to Jazz Music' by Her Majesty the Queen of Great Britain. As one of the world's most recognized online guitar teachers his innovative online guitar school with its headquarters in Napa, CA has been featured on NPR, BBC, Fox News and the LA Times and is subscribed to by guitarists in over 58 countries.

As a young working musician in London, England in the 1970s, Laurence Juber got an extraordinary, life-changing break when Paul McCartney picked him to become Wings' lead guitarist. Juber then spent three years recording and touring with the band. During that time, he won a Best Rock Instrumental GRAMMY for the track "Rockestra" from the Wings album Back To The Egg. After Wings folded in 1981, Juber embarked on a career as a solo artist, composer and arranger, and soon developed a reputation as a world-class guitar virtuoso, being voted #1 by Fingerstyle Guitar magazine. He has released 14 critically acclaimed solo albums and his solo guitar arrangement of "The Pink Panther Theme" is featured on the Best Pop Instrumental GRAMMY-winning album "Henry Mancini-Pink Guitar". His arrangement of "Stand By Me" was featured in the "Diamonds Are Forever" TV commercial. The venerable C.F. Martin Company currently offers an 'LJ' Signature model guitar and GHS Strings market Juber's Signature guitar strings.
Resolve to start your new year off right with Laurence Juber & Martin Taylor at the WYO January 8.
