New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Toronto-born and Denver-based rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Trip Rexx unveils his new single"Envelope." A wild, warbling psychedelic take on trap music, the song signs and seals a sugary hook inside of a vibrant soundscape. Meanwhile, in the smoked-out music video, Trip captures the camera's attention through washed-out, tie-dyed filters. Flanked by friends and enshrouded in smoke, it offers a gateway into his wonderful world.

Right now, Trip is in the midst of putting the finishing touches on his debut project, due out very soon this year. He's about to bring trap to a new realm altogether. The future belongs to him...

Crash landing on the scene in 2017, Trip Rexxsupplies the missing link between acid-washed sixties psychedelia and codeine-drenched 21stcentury trap. A modern hip-hop renaissance man, the Toronto-born and Denver-based rapper, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer conjures up a sound that might be best described as The Grateful Dead and Bootsy Collins backing Young Thug (in space). He worked on building that lane all by himself. Growing up in Connecticut, he went from playing piano and cello to eventually picking up guitar, bass, and even drums. He cut his teeth playing in bands throughout middle school and high school. An avowed "Dead Head," he got really into Funkadelic and Bootsy. At eleven, his eyes opened to the likes of Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Kid Cudi. As the creative palette expanded as he started to create beats. In 2018, the Drip EP and tracks such as "Magnet," "Lazy Sunday," and "RAV 4" stirred up a growing buzz, and his videos began putting up numbers on YouTube. With a fan base building, he kicked off the new year with the single "Envelope."
