New York, NY (Top40 Charts) This year's spring belongs to soulful, world-traveled folk-pop musician Sophie Auster. The world-renowned New York native is gearing up to release 'Next Time', her first record in four years, on April 12th via Fieldhouse/BMG. Riding on the heels of singles "Mexico" and "Dance With Me", Auster will release third single "Rising Sun" on March 15th.

'Next Time' follows 2015 effort 'Dogs and Men' and 2013 EP 'Red Weather'. Written in 2016, the music was produced by Swedish musician Tore Johansson (New Order, Tom Jones, a-Ha), who Auster reached out to before flying to Sweden for the recording sessions. 'Next Time' marks her first time recording abroad in a completely isolated space—the ensuing sound, lush orchestral fantasies of romances abroad ("Mexico"), poetic remembrances of heartbreak ("Black Water") and reflections on a unified ecstatic love ("Dance With Me") are all threaded together by Auster's haunting voice.

"Mexico" will be featured in John Turturro's new film, Going Places, a spinoff of The Big Lebowski, centered around the notable character Jesus Quintana. The film also stars Audrey Tautou, Bobby Cannavale, Susan Sarandon, and Pete Davidson.

Auster has received several awards abroad and at home including the 2016 Grand Prize at The John Lennon Songwriting Contest, being named "Singer of the Year" by Cosmopolitan Spain. She has graced the covers of Cosmopolitan Spain, Rolling Stone Spain, among others.

Auster's tour will kicks off at SXSW in Austin and will take Auster through the States and then to Europe, ending in Portugal.
