Willin Prophet Releases New Single 'Dance T.C.I.'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The songwriter and producer of roots rock known as Willin Prophet has released his latest official single, "Dance T.C.I." (Turks and Caicos Islands). The single has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry. Upbeat, empowering and bringing everything about roots fans love best, "Dance" showcases Willin Prophet as one of the most intriguing roots rock artists of the year so far and promises that he has plenty more where that came from.

The British West Indies' Willin Prophet cites as main artistic influences Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cook, Curtis Mayfield, the Stylistics, Johnny Nash, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Wilson Picket, and the Temptations. Prophet's own sound takes elements from each of these and adds something fresh and unique for a result unlike anything today's music fans have heard before. With an emphasis on island tradition, deep groove, and pure, joyous spirit, "Dance" by Willin Prophet has a little something for everybody.

Asked to describe the overall meaning of "Dance," Willin Prophet says his song brings "a message to have fun, dance, and to give praises with dancing and enjoy ourselves don't matter what because life is too precious to waste."

Willin Prophet (born Ronald Othneil Seymour 1954) comes from the Turks and Caicos Islands in the British West Indies. His music career began in a Baptist church choir at the age of 12 while he learned guitar and organ. The trumpet soon followed. He relocated to Inglewood, California in 1980 and began his group, Willin Prophets, in '81. They performed at the famous "Traditional Bob Marley Day Reggae Road Block" in 1982 at Macarthur Park in Los Angeles, and have continued to perform on the West Coast since.

He would continue to open for famous artists such as Peter Tosh and enjoy consistent radio play throughout the western world for the next thirty years.

The first official Willin Prophets release came in '83 with two singles from their debut record, "Dreadness," "Innocent Man" and "Unity." The reggae scene received them well. '87 saw Neil "Willin Prophet" Seymoure's "Resurrection" album, which showcased him as a talented lead singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. It's "Pressure" single became popular on his home island of Turks. His "Tribute to Jags McCartney" examined the controversial death of the Turks and Caicos Island's political figure. His "Reggae Music" single from the same record also made island charts.

In the 1990s, Willin Prophet joined a Tampa Bay, FL, group, Imperial Force, who played notable shows including the Tampa Christmas Tree lighting in '93, for several years. Since the untimely death of his brother and bass player, Bernard "Naddy" Seymoure, he has continued to record and produce music as a member of ASCAP. He continues to run his indie label, Rydem Records, and publishing company, Seymour Tribe.

Willin Prophet's most prominent recent release besides "Dance" is "Turks Island Love."
"Dance T.C.I." by Willin Prophet is available from over 600 quality digital music stores online worldwide now. Get in early, roots rock fans.
