NEW YORK (Nocturne Official Website) - The industrial band Nocturne will release 'Guide To Extinction' on April 19, 2005, through Triple X Records.

It's the third full-length album and fourth album overall from Nocturne. The band's two core members are vocalist/founder Lacey Conner - a striking woman with an otherworldly voice - and guitarist/programmer Chris Telkes.

The 13 songs on 'Guide To Extinction' include "Shallow," "I Lie," "Alibi," "Passion," "Walk Away," "Indulge," "Class War," "Nothing," "Dirty Sanchez," "No Way Out," "Dead Man," "Cocaine Sex" and "They'll Never Find Your Body."

"Our roots are in industrial music, but 'Guide To Extinction' finds us going in a metal-oriented direction. It feels very natural," says Conner.

Conner and Telkes were a couple for 8 1/2 years but broke up about a year ago. They remain close friends, but Conner admits some songs on 'Guide To Extinction' are the split's aftermath.

"We have spent so much time and blood, sweat and tears on Nocturne that it's not worth it to throw it all away," says Conner.

The band puts on a mesmerizing, hypnotic and wildly entertaining live show.

"We focus on our heavier material when it comes to our live set," Conner says.

Nocturne, with touring bass guitarist Rotten Rotny and special guest touring drummer Ben Graves of Murderdolls (the side project of Joey Jordison of Slipknot), will embark on an extensive tour, 'TheFree For All Tour'with headliners Pigface, in 2005.
