NEW YORK (Lava Records) - O.A.R., considered one of the hardest working bands in the business today, refuses to sit on the sidelines. The five-piece rockers, fresh off an almost completely sold-out spring tour, are pleased to announce the kickoff of their annual summer headline tour beginning July 9 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at Summerfest. The upcoming tour is expected to put O.A.R. in front of an estimated 263,000 fans in 26 markets across the country, marking the bands' most successful two-month outing to date. Always introducing their fans to great music, O.A.R. have tapped Hawaii's ska-rockers Pepper, and The Southland as openers. In addition to the headline tour, the band will once again join the Dave Matthews Band on select dates during the month of July.

"We are really excited to get out there and hit the amphitheatres this summer," remarked O.A.R. singer/lyricist Marc Roberge. "We had fifteen sold-out shows on our spring tour which took our music and fan base to an entirely different level. Plus, being able to join Dave Matthews Band on a few dates is the icing on the cake of an already exciting summer."

O.A.R. will headline the fourth annual Feeling Better Than Everfine Festival August 20 in Chicago, Illinois. Previous years' festivals have taken place in Cleveland, Ohio, and have drawn over 5,000 people. Festival host Everfine Records joins forces with Chicago's prestigious House of Blues Concerts this year to promote this all-day interactive gathering filled with music and crafts. The festival has become a rite of passage for many emerging artists, including Maroon 5, Marc Broussard, and Howie Day.

O.A.R. has sold three quarters of a million albums and played to over 800,000 people since their humble beginnings in drummer Chris Culos' basement. In a time when the music industry shied away from internet song-swapping, O.A.R. embraced the practice with passion, encouraging fans to tape early shows and trade them online. As the practice grew, so did O.A.R. The band has released six albums, including major label debut "In Between Now And Then" (Lava Records, 2003). O.A.R. is singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman, drummer Chris Culos and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo. For up-to-date information, go to www.ofarevolution.com.
