Barns Courtney Shares "Hollow", New Single + Video Out Now
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Global rising star Barns Courtney today shares a brand new single and video "Hollow" featuring Look Mum No Computer. The release marks the latest cut from the British singer's second studio album 404 which is set for release on September 6th via Virgin EMI/Universal Music. Due to unprecedented demand, Barns has also added 4 additional dates in Italy, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland to his nearly sold-out global headline tour this autumn. Watch and listen to "Hollow" below:

A roaring call to arms, "Hollow" sees Barns' signature deep vocals wrapped around in-your-face instrumentation. The accompanying video, directed by Math and Fran, finds Barns hospitalised and, whilst strapped to a gurney, we see the star submitted to an internal examination where all is not as it seems...

Speaking of "Hollow", Barns says: "'Hollow' is a tropical bedroom jam between me and Look Mum No Computer. It's pretty much all Fender Tele and Kosmo, the Mad Max garbage synth. In keeping with the themes of 404, it's all about emptiness."

"Hollow" marks the third release from 404; the album will feature 10 new tracks and will explore Barns' transition into adulthood with conflicted feelings of loss, frustration and optimism. Fans can expect to hear his vocals layered with intense rock grooves and softer melodic sounds. Recorded in the middle of the night, the vocals were captured in only one take and are largely improvised. It is perhaps Barns' most raw and intimate work yet as he invites listeners into some of his deepest thoughts.

Barns' forthcoming album follows his successful 2017 debut The Attractions Of Youth, which saw him become a viral hit with singles "Glitter & Gold" and "Fire" reaching popularity on both sides of the Atlantic. He performed on popular US late-night talk shows such as Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with James Corden as well as receiving support from Rolling Stone magazine.

To date, Barns has amassed over 500,000 global album sales, more than 570 million global streams and 45 million YouTube views. The first single from 404, "99" peaked at #5 on the US airplay charts, was streamed over 36M times globally and received support from BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, who described it as "a cross between Kings Of Leon and MGMT".

On the live circuit, his electric and unmissable shows earned him a completely sold out UK and European tour in 2018 which included iconic London venues such as Heaven, Dingwalls and Scala. Having previously opened for industry heavyweights such as The Who, Blur, The Libertines, Ed Sheeran, The Kooks, The Wombats and Elle King, and with a European tour already under his belt this year, fans will get to see his incredible performance in the UK, US and Europe this autumn. The UK shows kick off in Manchester on 8th October and culminate in a London show at the Electric Ballroom on 23rd October, before he heads to Europe. See full list of global tour dates HERE.
