LOS ANGELES (Gwendolyn Quinn/ Capitol Records) - Leading gospel artist, Smokie Norful, looks forward to the release of his first ever concert DVD on June 21. The much-anticipated project from the Grammy Award winner was filmed in Hi-Definition with 5.1 Surround Sound. The Nothing Without You DVD features live concert performances, in-depth interviews, and a bonus feature - the singer's popular "I Need You Now" video.

In early May, Norful fans will get a sneak preview of Nothing Without You DVD during an online pre-awareness campaign. At Amazon.com and WalMart.com, eager music lovers will be able to stream some of the DVD's content for free. Later in May, Norful will do advance screenings and promotional events in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.

Norful's latest single, "I Understand," from the Nothing Without You CD, continues to climb the R&R Urban and AC charts. It was the number two most added single its first week out and has already entered the top 20.

In the meantime, Norful's busy schedule of appearances continues unabated. Recent performances include the renowned New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, a concert at that city's Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts, and The 2005 Trumpet Awards.
