New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Mac Frey has returned with the release of his new single "Motion!."
About the song, Frey comments "The song's about our complex relationship with the world, with people, and with our passions in life. We seem to be so willing to tear it apart at times, but we're always able to fix it on the other side".
Manchester-based Mac Frey blends groove-based soul music with soaring, emotive vocals. Originally born in Paisley, just outside Glasgow, he moved to the north of England and grew up in a household overflowing with different styles and genres of music. He trained classically as an opera singer, before later writing, collaborating and producing with different artists around Manchester and London. His influences range from John Martyn to James Blake, from Vaughan Williams to D'Angelo.
Under different project names, he has supported artists such as Matt Corby, Michael Kiwanuka and Sam Fender and has had his music premiered on BBC Radio 1 and Elton John's 'Rocket Hour'.
