BURBANK, CA. (Warner Bros.) - Since their formation in Los Angeles in 1998, the fiercely original quartet Rilo Kiley has become an unqualified favorite of savvy music fans and critics across the country and around the world.

Fronted by a pair of gifted songwriters in Blake Sennet and the charismatic Jenny Lewis, dubbed by Entertainment Weekly as "the heiress apparent to Patsy, Petula, and Chrissie," the band is about to burst into even greater trajectory thanks to "More Adventurous," their brilliant third album and first on their own Brute/Beaute imprint through Warner Bros. Records and an upcoming tour supporting Coldplay.

On the heels of "More Adventurous," featuring the band's new single and video "Portions For Foxes," news of Rilo Kiley's resonant and revealing sound spread fast. "The music is immensely rich in emotion, color and musical range," raved The Los Angeles Times, while Rolling Stone observed, "This L.A. quartet packs big-city country music and meticulously breezy arrangements into eleven sweet, heartbroken songs." "The tightest thing to emerge from the indie rock Petri Dish in years," was how Time Magazine put it, while the Boston Globe singled out the band's "deft alchemy...emotional revelation, narrative craft, and musical muscle." "More Adventurous" ended up on 2004 Best Of lists for Rolling Stone, Spin, Blender, The Los Angeles Times, Harp, Paste, Tracks, The Village Voice and a host of others. But it was The Minneapolis City Pages which perhaps put it best: "They don't make 'em like 'More Adventurous' anymore."

Now concertgoers across the country will have a chance to see one of the best live bands on the road today when Rilo Kiley embarks on a major venue tour opening for Coldplay later this summer. Dates are listed below.

Comprised of Jenny Lewis (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Blake Sennet (guitar, vocals), Pierre de Reeder (bass) and Jason Boesel (drums), Rilo Kiley released two independent albums, including 2002's acclaimed "The Execution Of All Things," before putting together their own Brute/Beaute Records through Warner Bros. last year.

"More Adventurous" was recorded with an array of young, innovative producers, including Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, The Faint), Jimmy Tamborello (Postal Service), and Mark Trombino (Jimmy Eat World, Rocket From The Crypt). The result, according to Interview Magazine, "…swings through a spectrum of moods, from the confusion bred by beleaguered hearts to a cheeky send-up of selling out, all buoyed by Lewis's tender voice and Sennett's soaring guitar work."
