Casio Supports Keep Music Alive In Honor Of 'music In Our Schools Month'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Casio America, Inc., a leading innovator of electronic musical instruments, is excited to celebrate 'Music in Our Schools Month' this March through a partnership with the Keep Music Alive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Casio, along with the Keep Music Alive, believes every child and adult deserves the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument and be reminded that it's never too late to start. To support this mission, Keep Music Alive founded the international music holiday, Teach Music Week, which is held during the third week of March, coinciding with Music in our Schools Month.

"We're pleased to work with an organization like the Keep Music Alive whose mission is to promote the Value of Music," said Stephen Schmidt, Vice President of Casio's Electronic Musical Instrument division. "At Casio, our goal is to align ourselves with organizations that support music education, deliver tools to help foster the growth of musicians of all ages and raise awareness of the many benefits music education can provide. Partnering with the Keep Music Alive helps us achieve this goal by providing the tools necessary to foster the next generation of musicians and support their efforts within the education sector."

With the help of Casio and its full roster of partners, the 6th Annual Teach Music Week will offer free music lessons and classes to new students at over 850 music schools and stores in over a dozen countries. Public and private schools can participate in Teach Music Week by asking current music students to invite their friends to music class, band or chorus rehearsals. Musicians and music schools everywhere are encouraged to find one new student they can begin to teach by offering one free 30-minute lesson. Keep Music Alive also invites all interested music students, both kids and adults, to seek out a music school or musician participating in Teach Music Week.
